Hello, I’m Sarah.
I’m a San Francisco Bay Area based creative specializing in the art of photographing people.
I believe that photography is more than just posed images of people smiling at the camera — its purpose is to evoke the feelings of being present in a moment. Each image should not only be important to the people in it, but contribute to the storytelling & intimacy of the occasion.
I have photographed a range of people & the important occasions in their lives. From politicians and global thought leaders at The Commonwealth Club to babies first learning how to express themselves — I’ve captured many walks of life. I have also had the honor of photographing numerous events: weddings, corporate events as well as conferences, baptisms & birthday parties (plus everything in between). In each instance I have found that there is often an unexpected story to be told in the seemingly mundane and I find great joy in discovering & capturing just that.
When I’m not behind the camera, I love to be outdoors exploring the beauty that surrounds us. I can usually be found prancing amongst the redwoods with my partner and Arya (my pitbull). Standing on clifftops marveling at whales or simply hopping in my car to explore California’s endless curves are also favorite pastimes.
