My now husband, Ken and I recently got married at our home in West Hollywood, CA. We had a bad experience with our first wedding planner but were blessed to have discovered Ricki Lewis, of Ricki Lewis Events, who thankfully became our wedding planner extraordinaire! From the moment we hired Ricki, she was hands on all the way from start to finish. Ricki was always available, extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of wedding planning (in our case a gay wedding), professional, creative and always a pleasure to work with. Getting married at our home (with 50 plus attendees) can bring its own unique challenges, but she literally transformed our home into the wedding of our dreams – implementing exactly the design, vibe and look we had imagined and more. Ricki created a fully designed floor plan, to scale, that included intricate details that we would have never thought to include. Further complicating matters, my husband and I reside in Washington, DC most of the year, but Ricki was a lifesaver and took care of so many things that would have made it impossible for us to do being so far away. Her attention to detail is impeccable. Her vendor recommendations and relationships are the best of the best – florist, DJ, photographer, catering, candles (over 300 of them) and more- she made it all seamless. When it comes to last minute issues that inevitably come up, she is on it immediately and miraculously makes it happen (like creating personalized framed specialty drinks signs hours before our wedding, as well as handling countless other last-minute details). Ken and I are so appreciative of Ricki and her very talented team. They are the absolute best in the business, and she is the reason our wedding was the dream wedding we both experienced. Ricki was our day-of coordinator, and she was such a steady and helpful presence throughout the process. We met a few times before the wedding, and her suggestions—like adding soft candlelight, thoughtful cake utensils, and charming table number displays—made a real difference in the atmosphere. She was incredibly responsive over email for weeks leading up to the event, and her organization and experience gave us peace of mind. On the big day, everything ran seamlessly, and we were able to be fully present with our guests without worrying about logistics. So grateful to have had her by our side!
