One of the biggest reasons wedding planners love House Island is that in one venue, on one island there are so many locations to create multiple experiences. Here are examples: + Welcoming reception on the pier + Rehearsal dinner on the lawn at Sunshine Cottage or inside the fort at Fort Scammell (the only privately owned 19th century forts in America) + How about a lobster bake on 1 of our 5 beaches? + Wedding preparation in Cappy’s Lodge and / or Christina’s World (these are names of homes) + Wedding at waters edge in front of Cappy’s, on the dramatic lawn at Christina’s, or under the trees at the Eastern Glen + Wedding reception on the Upper Promenade or at Cappy’s Lawn + Fireworks viewing party from anywhere on the island + Late night party Services | Facilities | Capacity While full island takeovers with 3 or 4 night minimums are the primary way we rent House Island as a venue for weddings. Occasionally, based on availability and rarely in the summer, we will consider alternatives.
